Our seasonal help are absolute superstars. They are mostly college kids in the summer. They do more than work for a paycheck. There is a lot of pride in what they do. Our city is lucky to have them. We also have two excellent retired guys that give us experience and dedication. We need more of these guys! Sophie Haried (2nd year) She is the mood of the group. An unlikely leader, she steps to the front when she needs to. She is always ready to make the group laugh. She is currently at Whitewater training to be an elementary teacher. Adam Haried (rookie) He is the quiet one but excelled in doing projects when he was in charge. He is at Edgewood College in Madison. Adam is an excellent pitcher, receiving several honors for his high school career. Jenni Seeger (2nd year) Yes, the same Jenni that led the Viking girls to the state tournament in basketball. Jenni does a great job for us. She is excellent at caring for the equipment. She brings a smile to everything she does. She is at Eau Claire for the school year. Marc Movrich (rookie) Another great baseball player, Marc is at Whitewater, preparing to make the team for the spring season. Marc showed great maturity in his first year in the parks. He will be a great leader here if he doesn't go pro too soon. Brooke Berg (2nd year) Brooke is the rock of the group. She is always at the top of her game. Quietly she goes about getting the jobs done with high quality. She could also be compared to the eye of a hurricane. Brooke is at Milwaukee Luthern for the school year. Courtney Damson (2nd year) Courtney comes to us from McFarland. She is very strong physically as she weight trains for hours each day. She is a real leader and always ready to share a story. She is at LaCrosse working on a career in the fitness field. Heather Ulrich (rookie) Heather learned a lot about park work this year. She was very steady with the equipment and quick to volunteer for jobs. She is at LaCrosse as a freshman, planning on graduating in physical theropy. Tim Strandlie (6th year!) Tim is a parks hall of famer. He is super valuable for is ability and enthusiasm. He graduated with honors from Whitewater and is preparing to move on to a career until I retire and he can take my job. Howard Nelson (rookie) Howard is retired from the phone company but is with us for 1100 hours acting as our mowing crew chief. He does a great job taking care of the equipment and getting the mowing done in an efficent manner. Phil Hawkinson (3rd year) Phil is also retired from the phone company. He comes in the spring and again in the fall working on mowing and other maintenance. His good nature and experiences make him ideal for the job. Dan Holzhuter (7th year) Dan returned this summer to help us while preparing to teach in Stoughton's schools this fall. Another hall of fame choice, Dan combines a great work ethic and a sense of humor to make our crew better.
