The big news is that the Parks Maintenance and Recreation positions are being combined into one with Tom Lynch heading it up. Based on a study by DMG recommending the elimination of a supervisor, the decision was a surprise and an unfortunate change for current Recreation Director Jim Mattke. He is actively seeking leads with nearby city recreation programs.

Jim did a great job for Stoughton's recreation and parks for over 19 years. He will be missed here. Our loss will be another communitys gain.
Vickie "Citizen of the Year" Kittleson
Vickie will be staying on in her current position with the Recreation Department.
